I hope you're enjoying your summer. We've been so busy I've taken a break from the scrapbooking world, but I'm ready to hit it again. Forgot how much fun I had doing these! :)

Well, Carolyn over at DigiCyberscraps has given us some really fun stuff to work with. They're from her Happy Birthday America Kit and you can find out how to get it from her BLOG. Here is the preview along with some playful things I've done with them for my own scrapbook, using nothing but elements from her kit, of course!

I am sorry to say I only have two quick pages for you today. I didn't have time to play with this beautiful kit Carolyn put together to do it justice - I'm in the middle of chapter three of my novel and trying to get the family out for a week of camping! Eek! I hope you enjoy these two pages all the same - I chose bright colors because I LOVE bright and cheery pages in my scrapbooks.

Word Art, Free Kit - Oola-la!

Yikes! I had an unexpected play practice to run my daughters to, so I completely messed up getting the word art to you yesterday. Here's a LO I did with the word art - the word art is what I made up for Mistybelle's quote challenge over at Stone Accents Studio Forum.

Seeing Things in B&W

Ahhh.... Another bunch of quick pages. :)

I don't say a whole lot on this blog because I have another blog for that - I just figure you come here for the freebies. ;) However, I think I'm going to start uploading some sample layouts and more word art - just kinda depends on how much time I have.

I left my pages a little plain because I thought it would be great to add some other dark colors to them... I love a splash of color against a b&w page. Here's a little sample of what I mean:

Grandmas Wordart

I am working on some pages to scrap Mom's stay with us, and found this darling quote about Grandmas. The word art turned out cute on my page - thought maybe some of you might enjoy it. Faith Anew QP's are Finally HERE!

Yay! They are FINALLY here! Silly computer crashing on me like that! Ah well, all's well that ends well - I have buried the old laptop and moved on to a desktop with more memory, and my husband has started to see that I really DO need those nifty memory sticks. I have filled 10 GB in 5 days.... Yikes! Scrapper's hazard, I'm afraid....

Here are some layouts I did with the QP's - I thought I'd show this time how I like to change things up - sometimes I leave room for journaling, but you don't have to fill the space at all, or you can add another picture. As a bonus quick page, I redid the green one to leave a place for a picture up at the top like this one of my 2nd daughter and her good friends (ribbons are not on quick page but are a part of her Faith Anew kit):

This one is done with a picture put at 75% opacity,
and then I put another paper from Faith Anew behind
it - the paperclip is in the kit too. Or - you can
always journal! LOL! Oh - I flipped the page too... I decided
I wanted it to look like she was thinking about what she was
before - a LITTLE girl. :)This is my daughter's baby picture put
with a picture that reminds me of her goofy teen moments...

I thought this one would make a lovely Mother's Day page

I made some word art for this page. I used the font "1942 report" to come up with my own. I like the typewriter look - I think it's so pretty. :) I decided to store it as a PNG file for future use - and thought maybe some of you might like to have it too. Here's a preview:

I'm so very excited - and I'm having sooo much fun - I LOVE making quick pages!! I always try to leave plenty of room for journaling, word art, or a quote. I can't help myself! Journaling is sooo important to do from time to time - sometimes I look back and my old pics and wish I had kept journaling... I can't remember everything! My mother -in-law even mixed up my husband's baby pictures with one of his brothers... I always try to put a date, name, SOMETHING to help me identify later. Ah well, enough of that. Here's the preview of what you'll be getting in this download:

Here's some samples of my own pages using them to give you some ideas of what you can do with them (if you click on the picture you can get a clearer view of what these look like). I admit, this kit had me seeing b&w and sepia, so that's what I used in my samples:

Here's the one above that I altered by changing the hue and saturation so that it was a little more appropriate for boys - it's not just for girls!
